President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono Opened 18th ASEAN Summit in Jakarta

Jakarta - The Summit of the 18th Association of South East Asian Nation (ASEAN) or the association of the countries in southeast Asia today officially opened. Ten leaders of ASEAN countries (leader) confirmed present in this conference.
Indonesia as Chairman of ASEAN to host for the holding of the ASEAN summit this time. Summit was held in Gedung Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Jl Gatot Subroto, West Jakarta, from 7-8 May 2010.
ASEAN Summit, which will discuss some important issues in this area, will be opened by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) at around 09.00 am, Saturday (7/5/2011).
Opening ceremony will take place at Assembly Hall JCC I-II building. In addition to ASEAN leaders, the opening of the summit will be attended by a number of ASEAN ministers, delegates, and invitations.
A number of ASEAN leaders had arrived last night, among others, Prime Minister of Malaysia Tun Abdul Razak and the Sultan of Brunei Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah. Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung even rumored to have arrived first in Jakarta.
The nine leaders of ASEAN countries are scheduled to arrive at the JCC in tandem every single minute. Once inside the JCC, they will walk down the red carpet and then greeted by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono. Before the opening took place, all the leaders were first directed toward a holding room.
So far a number of improvements continue to be done by the committee at the summit area.
